The Top of Case, also called the introduction of a debate speech, is very important. The speech needs to have a strong opener, or attention-getter/hook, to get the judge and audience’s attention. Then, you should introduce the topic and provide a thesis statement to identify which side you support. A road map (preview) is then given to explain the direction of their speech.
